sound workshop

Today we were given a task to record sounds based around a given emotion. we were using the zoom to record it. every group was given a different emotion, we were given sorrow. we walked around town with this task in mind, recording various sounds which we felt went well with the emotion. we recorded a lot of various sounds, including doors opening and closing and something about the sainsburys meal deal.

I think we did an alright job, but there was one sound we came across which I really wish I had of recorded. when we walked through town we heard a dog crying for its owner whilst they entered a shop, I petted the dog to calm it down, I think this sound would have fitted perfectly to the task in hand. however I was so busy comforting the poor animal that it didn't occur to me to record it.

over all I am happy with the sounds we recorded and I felt that this really helped me to start to envision my project for experimental sound.
