Politics - pt 2

Joshua Allen Harris, "Installations," 2012

Harris is an American artist who created these pieces of art to open the public's eyes about urban living and the state of the environment. He created situational installations on subway grates, using plastic pages to create animal physics which became 3D when placed over the draft from the subway vents. They are very skilled and really interesting to see the irony he has created by using non-environmentally friendly materials to create animals in built up public areas when naturally these animals would be in the wild, perhaps hinting at the amount of built up areas and the lack of natural habitat?
