MOVING WORDS: so today in VFX with Phil, we were taught how to create a 3D object, a camera, and a light so that we could rotate the object and see it a different way. it was really awesome to learn this, although a bit confusing. he spoke to us a bit about our projects as well, but unfortunately due to car trouble, i was really late. he told me to catch up using lynda.com and using youtube tutorials.

Studio shoot PT 4

final idea? So today we had a group meeting in the library with our camera team as well as joe and Dixie. We came up with an idea about Ying and yang, showing how two opposites in a neutral environment interact and cooperate with one another and how, ultimately, they can't live without one another. So I think the idea is as follows: Synopsis: from what I understand it's about ying and yang, two actors in platonic relationship. They begin separate with a thin material between them in the space, they perform some choreographed movement, dance or over dramatic theatrical movement of some sort. They then go through various different stages showing their opposites, like "hide and seek", or "push and pull" ending up with the two together in the space moving and working in harmony showing that you need one to help the other. grad film reseach

so far I've looked into various other dance films. next I plan to look at other grad films just to give me a better idea whats expected of me. here are some of the best films I've found. this is called 'SLIP' published in 2015 under the username 'pacman' in the description they talk about how difficult it is to let go of sadness, and how ignoring it can be harmful - " Everyone will tell you it is hard to let go of pain... and it is. Since we are children we have been told to embrace the best of our experiences & disregard the worst... But what happens when the most beautiful memories from our past end up doing the most damage to our future?" - the reason why this video stood out to me is firstly because of the music and opening. the colour pallet Ithink is really similar to what I envision in my film, and I think that what drew me in. the closeness and general presence of the dancers I think encapsulates the closeness and delicacy of pain, some...
